This Refund Policy explains how cancellations and refund requests are handled for subscriptions to Affekt, a cloud-based SaaS platform provided by Affekt Digital GmbH.

: Affekt is a subscription-based software-as-a-service platform for music catalog management, contract management, royalty imports, royalty calculations, statement generation and payout workflows.

Subscriptions provide access to digital software services. No physical goods are shipped.
: Payments, invoices, taxes, subscription management, cancellations and refunds may be handled by Paddle. Paddle may act as merchant of record, reseller and/or payment provider for Affekt subscriptions.

Where a purchase is processed by Paddle, refund requests may also be subject to Paddle’s buyer terms and refund policy.
: You may cancel your subscription through your account, through Paddle’s subscription management tools, or by contacting us.

Unless otherwise stated, cancellation prevents future renewals but does not automatically refund fees already paid for the current billing period.

After cancellation, access to paid features may continue until the end of the current billing period.
: Refunds may be granted in the following cases:

where required by applicable consumer protection law;

where Paddle’s buyer terms or refund policy provide a right to a refund;

where you were charged in error;

where a duplicate payment was made;

where the Service was materially unavailable due to a fault on our side and no reasonable workaround was available;

where we approve a refund at our discretion.
: Unless required by law or Paddle’s applicable buyer terms, refunds are generally not provided for:

unused time within an active billing period after cancellation;

failure to cancel before a renewal date;

lack of use of the Service;

dissatisfaction caused by incorrect customer data, incomplete setup or misconfigured contracts;

errors in royalty calculations caused by incorrect or incomplete data entered or uploaded by the customer;

downgrades made after a billing period has already started.
: If a free trial is offered, you may cancel before the end of the trial period to avoid being charged. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your selected subscription may begin and the applicable fees may be charged.
: To request a refund, please use one of the following methods:

use the “View receipt” or “Manage subscription” link in your Paddle transaction confirmation email;

use the support or billing link provided by Paddle;

contact us at support@affekt.de with your account email, company name, order number and reason for the refund request.

We may ask for additional information to verify your purchase and assess the request.
: If a refund is approved, it will normally be processed to the original payment method where possible. The time until the refunded amount appears in your account may depend on the payment method, bank or card provider.
: Nothing in this Refund Policy limits any mandatory rights you may have under applicable consumer protection law.
